Application Areas Of Galvanized Sheet And Coil

Galvanized coils and strips are used in a wide range of applications, such as automobile manufacturing, electrical products, rolling stock, aviation, precision instruments, food cans, etc.

Galvanized coil is the abbreviation of ordinary carbon structural steel cold rolled plate, also known as cold rolled plate, commonly known as cold plate, sometimes misspelled as cold tie plate. Cold plate is changed from ordinary carbon structural steel hot-rolled steel strip, after further cold-rolled into a thickness of less than 4mm steel plate. Because it is rolled at room temperature and never produces iron oxide, the cold plate has good surface quality, high dimensional accuracy, and annealing treatment, and its mechanical and technological properties are better than those of hot-rolled thin steel plates.

Galvanized sheet and coil is made of hot rolled coil and rolled at room temperature under the recrystallization temperature, including plate and coil, which can be produced by many domestic steel mills such as Baosteel, Wuhan Iron and Steel and Anshan Steel. Among them, the sheet delivery is called steel plate, also known as box plate or flat plate; the length is very long, into the coil delivery is called steel strip, also known as coiled plate.

Definition of galvanized sheet and coil

It is the rolling under recrystallization, but is generally understood as the rolling of the material using room temperature rolling. Aluminum cold rolling is divided as sheet rolling and foil rolling. The thickness of 0.15~over is called plate and 0.15~below is called foil. 3~6 continuous mills are mostly used as cold rolling facilities in Europe and America.

Production Process

The production process of galvanized coils is never heated, so there are no defects such as pitting and iron oxide that often occur in hot rolling, and the surface quality is good and the finish is high. Therefore, the dimensional accuracy of cold rolled products is high, and the performance and organization of products can meet some special requirements, such as electromagnetic properties, deep punching properties, etc.
